We use BioFeedback for:
- Heart Rate Variability (HRV) training to achieve Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) balance
- Hemoencephalography biofeedback (HEG)
- Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES)
Once Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) balance has been achieved it is possible for you to feel calmer, operate more effectively and reduce your stress and anxiety by developing coping strategies.
Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) balance reduces internal conflict between the fight or flight response and rest and digest states. If you are perpetually in the fight or flight response state causes your body to operates inefficiently creating ineffective digestion and repair that leads to depleted energy, and produce extra wear and tear on your whole system. Like wise if you are perpetually in the rest and digest state your self motivation is low leading to depressive and negative mood causing poor performing cognitive states. For more information see HRV & ANS sections in this site.
Hemoencephalography biofeedback (HEG) is a different form of biofeedback to brainwave neurofeedback. HEG training feeds back changes in the brain’s energy consumption (which is related to blood flow, oxygen, nutrient, glucose supply). HEG training aims to boost blood flow activity to your brain and as a result it improves mental and emotional functioning. For more information see HEG section of this site.
Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) It is the use of variable current (0.5Hz pulses per second) applied to the brain via the earlobes with the aim of inducing the cortex to produce an increase in alpha-wave activity. It also activates neurons in the brainstem. For more information see the CES section of this site.
